Introducing a fountain to your cat’s routine

Introducing a fountain to your cat’s routine

A fountain offers a different way to provide drinking water. Cats have individual preferences, so introduce it gradually and keep another source of fresh water available.

Set it up before inviting your cat over

Follow the supplied manual for assembly, filling, charging and operating modes. Choose a stable indoor surface away from places where the fountain could be knocked over. Keep charging equipment and electrical parts dry.

Let your cat explore at its own pace

Give your cat space to approach the fountain without forcing it to drink. Keep its familiar water bowl available while you observe how it responds. A fountain does not guarantee that a pet will drink more.

Make care part of the routine

Check the water and fountain regularly. Refresh drinking water and clean removable, washable parts according to the manual. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for filter preparation and replacement; do not assume that the pump, battery or charging parts can be submerged.

Choose the package that suits your household

The Vyrado fountain has a stainless steel drinking surface and a replaceable filter. The Fountain + 6 spare filters bundle includes six additional replacement filters. Check the product page for the current package contents, price and estimated delivery times.

If you notice a sudden change in your cat’s drinking or behaviour, contact your vet. A fountain is a water container, not a treatment for a health condition.
